First raccoons, now this!

Thomas and a friend were out shooting hoops in our driveway yesterday and I look up and what do I see but this lovely sight: a hornet nest!! Actually, I have to admit it's quite interesting looking and kinda fascinating, but totally creeps me out. I'm not thrilled at it's location just above our living room window, below Thomas' bedroom window, near the front door and just a little ways above the basketball net - now that could be interesting!lol Anyhow, some of you may have a clue what to do to get rid of a hornet nest yourselves, but I immediately ran to the Yellow Pages and flipped over to Pest Control and voila, a nice man named Angus was over this morning to get rid of the nest. I feel bad about destroying their home, but it was just a little too close to my home for comfort!! I did ask the guys if they could keep a little piece of the nest for Thomas to check out when he gets home from camp - he was quite fascinated by the nest and knew way more about this kind of thing than me!
